stute.x1D Designer

Create high end loudspeaker systems in only 5 steps.

Step 1: Speaker driver selection

Select the speakers for the project from the database. Filters (such as manufacturer or category) or the parameter search (Vas, Qts,...) help with the selection.

Copy & paste is no longer necessary: Details on the design and calculation, such as Vas or the installation dimensions, are automatically available in the further steps.

Your favourite is not in the database? Simply add more speaker drivers. If necessary, supplement the entry with a link to the PDF data sheet, the measurement file or a web page, e.g. from the manufacturer.

Step 2: Driver enclosure calculation

Enclosure types: Sealed, Ported, Passive System, Transmission Line

Verification: The simulation shows the expected results before you order and assemble the enclosure. Perfect!

Import a measurement: Via a click import the measurement from the PC Audio Analyzer stute.x1A or an ASCII file and check the simulation result.

Step 3: Audio filter design

The crossover is elementary for the sound. It divides the music among the individual speakers. The wizard in stute.x1D makes the calculation via wizard very easy.  

Does your dealer offer a capacitor with 5.25uF? The "REALizer" function replaces mathematically calculated components with commercially available parts. Simulate, check and correct the influence on the deviations!

stute.x1D also takes complex impedance curves into account for optimal sound results.

Step 4: Loudspeaker enclosure design

The enclosure design wizard takes over all the data from the previous steps. In no time at all, you will receive a first enclosure design.  

No manual transfer: Automatic transfer of the loudspeaker driver dimensions and cabinet volume from the previous calculation steps. 

 

Fine adjustment: Then adjust the enclosure dimensions and the position of the drivers to your ideas. Finally, output a parts list and the drawing for building the enclosure.

Step 5: Design Review

What's the price? The project map collects all the information about the design and calculates the material costs from speakers, components of the crossover and cabinet material....

Save money and time with the acoustical pre-check of your audio filter design via the Behringer DCX2496 Audio DSP.

 

Transfer via a click the passive audio filter design into the Audio-DSP and make first test hearings. Adjust the audio filter design until you are fine with the sound. Order finally the passive filter components.

Components

In the component database you can store commercially available components for audio crossover and cabinet construction (such as MDF), including their prices. 

 

Via web link you have quick access to the component data sheet or the web page of your preferred supplier.

MS Windows 7, 8 or 10 (32 & 64 bit) or Linux 32bit with Wine and Winetricks database module "JET40". Processor i3 1.5GHz or above, RAM min. 2 GB, Screen resolution min. 1050x760 pixel. Internet connection to activate the license (No subscription)

 

Optional acoustical frequency response or Thiele Small data import: Audio analyzer software stute.x1A required. Automatic data transfer into the audio processor Behringer DCX2496: The Software DCX.Server and DCX.Client is required.
